Solo Exhibition ‘Glitches’ at Galerie Ron Mandos
Troika's solo exhibition ‘Glitches’ at Galerie Ron Mandos brings their large-scale installation ‘Limits of a Known Territory’ for the first time to Europe. The exhibition also includes a new series as well as recent bodies of work.

‘Limits of a Known Territory’ explores, through various physical shifts, the divided reality between subjective point-of-view and objective truth. A space is flooded with water and numerous streams of water drip from the ceiling, behaving in unfamiliar and illogical ways: some are frozen in time, others run slower, faster or in reverse. The visitor is invited to navigate the space by walking over stepping-stones scattered across the floor.
The work acts as a filter by which reality is a simulation and technology is the lens through which we experience and interpret the world. By negating the natural and independent momentum of water, breaking streams into distinct, disparate instances, ‘Limits of a Known Territory’ references the constructed authenticity which now defines our age.
Also featuring new works from the ‘Horizons’ series, ‘Light Drawings’ series and ‘All Colours White’, the exhibition collectively presents a double, ambiguous nature, at once deliberate and spontaneous, calculated and random, natural and artificial, allowing Troika to explore the coalition of interdependent agents.
