The exhibition brings together a selection of artworks presenting a disruption of the visual narrative through a technological reworking of the familiar and archetypal.
For ‘Transmission’ Galerie Huit will show three of Troika’s most recent works from the series ‘Compression Loss’, 'Reality is not always probable’ and ‘Labyrinth of a straight line’ – systematically determined sculptures and drawings that originate from Troika’s interest in technological acceleration and various models and belief systems used to detail and understand the world.
Incorporating frameworks of technological advancement, mythology, and everyday reality the works investigate how the application of a purely rational and scientific method onto practical life is often at odds with the subjective and unpredictable.
