Troika's Digital Zoetrope will be exhibited at onedotzero_adventures in motion, EMPAC, Troy New York. Onedotzero will be invading the brand new empac [experimental media + performing arts center] building in Troy, New York state with an array of installations, live performances and screening programmes to celebrate the first adventures in motion festival to be held in the united states.

Troika is now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic design engineer to join our team in London, and work on a series of new commissions, spanning large digital kinetic installations to electro-mechanical lighting products. This position is ideal for the design engineer who strives for a more hard-edged creative environment in which to take concepts to reality. 

Candidates will be selected on their ability to understand the design process, and give attention to details, think creatively about the possible engineering solutions, research and understand new technologies and adapt them to different production strategies.

Job requirements:

>> Degree in Design Engineering or Engineering, with relevant industry experience. 

>> Excellent design engineering knowledge, materials and production processes. 

>> Excellent 3D modeling (Rhinoceros, Solid Works) and 2D technical drawings skills. 

>> Good engineering competences in structure (FEM is a plus), mechanical design, electronic and optical engineering. 

>> Strong knowledge of workshop and prototyping techniques.

>> Good knowledge of design software (adobe creative suite, C4D) and general IT packages.

>> Sensibility and eye for design details.

>> Fluency in Mandarin Chinese would be a plus, but not essential.  

>> A passion for the art and design fields is essential.
