Limits of a Known Territory

Limits of a Known Territory is a site-specific work originally commissioned by Fondazione NC Arte in 2015. It is an environment that is simultaneously a landscape and what this landscape could be in an alternate reality. A 200 sqm space has been flooded to become the environment of a live simulation in which the physical and digital are porous – real virtuality. Streams of water drip from the ceiling in unfamiliar ways: slower than expected, upwards and against the downward pull of gravity, or standing still, weightless. There is no sound of droplets hitting the water’s surface.
